The 11th International Conference on Security of Information and Networks (SIN-2018) organized by Cardiff University, School of Computer Science and Informatics, provides an excellent international forum for sharing knowledge and results in theory, methodology and applications of Security in information and networks.
The conference invites significant contributions from researchers and industrial working on the development of cryptographic algorithms, security schemes, cryptanalysis, application security, system security, cloud security and network security. The aim of the conference is to provide a platform to the researchers and practitioners from both academia as well as industry to meet and share cutting-edge advancements in the field of information and network security.
The event was attended by Universities and Institutes from around the world including the USA, Turkey, Australia, Russia and India and, in recognition of the role Cyber Wales now plays on the Global stage members of the Ecosystem were asked to participate.
Representatives from Cyber Wales contributed by staging a discussion panel. Moderated by John Davies Co-founder & Chair of the South Wales Cyber Security Cluster, and attended by Jason Davies Founder and Chair of the North Wales Cyber Security Cluster and Cyber Wales members Anthony Matthews of Charmwood Risk Management, Marie Caruso of Arcanum Cyber Security, Corporal Mark Howells of 53 Squadron of the Royal Corps of Signals in the British Army.
After a brief presentation on the background and scope of Cyber Wales the discussion was very much audience driven in what turned out to be a very interactive and engaging session.
