CYBERSEC EU is an annual public policy conference held at the ICE Congress Centre in Krakow, Poland dedicated to the strategic challenges of cybersecurity.

The conference is the flagship event of The Kosciuszko Institute a Founding Member of GlobalEPIC alongside Cyber Wales and this event was a perfect opportunity for representatives of the Ecosystems to meet and have a catch up.

One of the Institutional Patrons of the CYBERSEC Forum is the Cyberwatching Project, the European observatory of research and innovation in the field of cybersecurity and privacy, and this year the Project ran their inaugural Annual Workshop in the Auditorium in Krakow.

Cyber Wales representative John Davies, Co-founder & Chair of the South Wales Cyber Security Cluster, who proactively support the Cyberwatching Project, was invited to speak on stage at the Forum and as a Panelist in the Inaugural Workshop.

John joined: David Wallom, Associate Professor at Oxford University; Michel Drescher from the e-Research Centre at Oxford University; Raul Valera of AEI Ciberseguridad in Spain; Jose Ruiz, a senior cybersecurity expert at Atos; and Aitor Vieira from the CYBECO project, a collaboration between seven European institutions. The topic was assessing research outputs within the cybersecurity and privacy landscape.
