Cyber Wales representative Damon Rands, CEO of Wolfberry Cyber Ltd was at the launch the new Dubai Cyber-Security Cluster in Emirates Towers in Dubai.
Damon, one of a number of Cyber Wales members who have operations in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), runs his organisation from the Emirates Towers and has formed strong links with other cyber businesses in the area since opening his offices there. Having been a long-standing member of the South Wales Cyber Security Cluster and pro-actively involved in the formation of Cyber Wales, Damon was able to share information and ideas about what makes a successful Cluster.
Working with the Dubai Police, the Dubai Futures Academy and other local cyber firms to help get this new Cluster off the ground, Damon is also continuing to foster close working relationships with Cyber Wales and promote the Region to other Welsh companies who could benefit from the businesses opportunities available in the UAE’s fast growing economy.
The new Cluster aims to bring together law enforcement, Government, industry professionals and enthusiasts towards the goal of advancing Cyber-Security in the UAE and more broadly, the Middle East.
The Cluster looks to support the initiatives and direction of the UAE Government and to help make local business more secure and resilient to attack by fostering knowledge sharing and the development of new skills and capabilities in the region.
