Cyber Education & Training Cluster - 13 April 2021

13th April 2021 | 13:00 - 15:00

Over the last 12 months the world has had to quickly adapt to a changing and challenging environment. As people were encouraged to work from home, so the cyber threat increased and cyber security took on an increased prominence.

But what has lockdown meant for cyber education? What were the challenges in delivering cyber education in an online environment and what does the future hold?

Join us at our next event on Tuesday the 13th to hear from a great panel of speakers including:

  • University of South Wales – hear first hand how USW delivered its cyber security program during the pandemic
  • Glyndwr University - who converted all of their cyber courses into a wide range of digital media to deliver a blended learning experience for students
  • Cyber Wales CTF Cluster - who have extended their regular sessions to schools, colleges and universities and have developed a learning platform called the Cyber Wales Interactive Range (CyWIR) to provide organisations in Wales a platform where they can run their own learning content to their own audiences. This platform was also used to run the Inspire Skills Wales CTF Competition in which college students from all over Wales showed off their skills in a bid to be selected for Team GB at the upcoming WorldSkills Competition in Singapore.
  • Shri Mr Ramachandru Tejavath, IIT, IIM-A, Rtd IAS and Special Representative, Government of Telangana State India (Cabinet Minister Rank), and Member of Governing Body of Global Cyber Security Forum, India
  • Ms Nomvuyiso Batyi, Head of Presidential Commission Strategic Implementation Plan - 4IR Project Management Office in the Department of Communications and Digital Technologies, South Africa

See you all there.
