Cyber Wales were delighted to present at the first ever SASIG event in Wales.
Wales has a strong ecosystem of technology and academic institutions that deliver cyber talent and capability to the UK and beyond. The theme for our Wales SASIG was collaboration, an often-overlooked factor in defending networks and businesses. Recurring breaches and attacks drain morale and remind us how vulnerable we are. But how do we stop playing catch up with our attackers?
Digital resilience is key when mitigating cyber threats, but many businesses overlook collaboration as a solution. The cybersecurity market is competitive, and that competitiveness often blinds us to the importance of working together. Adversaries exploit this, building their models on our reluctance to collaborate. Whether sharing breach information, warning sectors of threats, fostering a just culture, or finding the right partner to navigate the internet’s darkest corners, trusted relationships and collaboration are force multipliers.
Cybersecurity is a team game, and we were excited to have this as our theme. SASIG has always been about creating an safe environment to expand networks, build trusted relationships, and forge alliances that strengthen us all.
