Women in Cyber Wales is a sub cluster of the South Wales Cyber Cluster and part of Cyber Wales. The meetings provide a valuable way for women working, or hoping to work, in the cyber industry to meet and support each other.
Our next event coincides with International Women's Day, and we are hosting an online meeting with an international flavour. This follows an event earlier in the day being hosted by the National Digital Exploitation Centre for female students aged 14+ who are interested in finding out more about Cyber Security careers (https://www.s4snextgen.org/Opportunities/View/id/1096).
There will be short presentations from the following women, all working in the cyber securitiy sector:
- Ms Wafa Alshemeili, SME, Ras Al Khaimah, UAE
- Ms Birgit Lampl SLC iCable GmbH, Austria
- Ms Eleonore Nantes, Thales, France
- Ms Marwa Al Mansoori, Abu Dhabi, UAE
After the presentations, the following additional guests will join us for an informative Q&A: Ms Afrah Al Mansoori (Dubai Police); Ms Ndey Touray (Gambia Cyber Security Alliance), Suzanne Shanhan (Office of Information and Communication Technology, United Nations, USA); Christina Goodness, Department of Peacekeeping Operations (United Nations, USA).
Please reserve your ticket now using the page indicated above, and a link for the event, being held on Microsoft Teams, will be available once you have signed up.
We look forward to welcoming you to what will be a really exciting and informative afternoon.
This event will be recorded.
New members are always very welcome.
Meetings are held roughly once a month in South Wales and you don't have to be Welsh to join us! Dates are announced on our Twitter feed @WomenCyberWales or you can send us a message to be added to the contacts list.
